Our Predictions. . .
In the able above are the height and arm span measurement from Jennifer and Yewande. We will plug the x values( arm span) into the regression equation and see if the y values (heights) correlate with the graph. From there we will make our prediction. |
For the predictions we decided that we would each take turns measuring the arm span and height of one another instead of picking random numbers and putting them into the regression equation.
After substituting the x values in the regression equation with the arm measurements we recorded. It seems that arm span and a person height should be in direction correlations. The length of a person arm span should be the exact same length as a person height. When comparing the y values(height) that we measured to the y values that resulted from the equation we predict that arm span is not in direct correlation. We believe that arm span and height are extremely close in correlations but to not match perfectly.
